The training in Designated Security Duties is for all seafarers who are designated to perform security duties, including anti-piracy and anti-armed-robbery-related activities, on seagoing vessels which are required to comply with the requirements of the ISPS Code. The outcomes of the training;

Maintain the conditions set out in the ship security plan,
Recognize security threats and risks,
Understand the importance of and undertake regular security inspections of the ship.
Maintain and use security equipment and systems found on board the ship.
