The training in Designated Security Duties is for all seafarers who are designated to perform security duties, including anti-piracy and anti-armed-robbery-related activities, on seagoing vessels which are required to comply with the requirements of the ISPS Code. The outcomes of the training;

  • Maintain the conditions set out in the ship security plan,
  • Recognize security threats and risks,
  • Understand the importance of and undertake regular security inspections of the ship.
  • Maintain and use security equipment and systems found on board the ship.
