Description
Masters, chief engineer officers, chief mates, second engineer officers and any person with immediate responsibility for loading, discharging, care in transit, handling of cargo, tank cleaning or other cargo-related operations on oil tankers shall hold a certificate in advanced training for oil tanker cargo operations.
Prerequisites
Please refer to the basic requirements.
All candidates must be in possession of a valid Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting certificate, must have completed a Basic Oil and Chemical Tanker course and, for a certificate of competency endorsement, should have completed at least six months experiential training on a tanker.
